Man critically hurt in Phoenix shooting
One person was detained after a shooting on New Year's Day near 51st Avenue and McDowell Road left a man with critical injuries.
PHOENIX - A man has critical injuries following a shooting on New Year's Day in Phoenix.
The shooting happened at around 9 p.m. on Jan. 1 at a home near 51st Avenue and McDowell Road.
Phoenix Police say officers responded to the scene and found a man who had been shot. The victim was taken to a hospital with critical life-threatening injuries.
A second man who was at the home was detained.
Detectives are investigating what led up to the shooting.
