Person dies in drowning at Lake Pleasant

Fire officials say a person is dead after they were pulled out of Lake Pleasant on June 22.

PEORIA, Ariz. - Firefighters say a person drowned at Lake Pleasant on Thursday.

The Peoria Fire Medical Department says crews responded to the Pleasant Harbor Marina after a person was pulled from the water. Bystanders performed CPR on the victim until firefighters arrived.

The victim, identified only as an adult, did not survive.

Peoria Police will investigate the drowning.

No further details were released. This marks the 4th drowning so far in 2023 at the lake.
