Former Phoenix Fire Captain facing revenge porn charges

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- A former Phoenix fire captain is facing three felony charges of revenge porn according to court records. He's accused of leaking nude photos of his ex-girlfriend.

Philip Eno, 54, had been with the Phoenix Fire Department for 32 years, and retired just this week.

Arizona's Revenge Porn Law was just modified and passed a couple of years ago. Eno is being accused of not only harassing his ex, but sending her current boyfriend explicit photos he had taken of her while they were together.

For the past three decades, Eno put his life on the line as a firefighter. In 2013, the 100 Club helped him financially after he was badly burned in the line of duty.

Eno was a training coordinator who instructed firefighting courses at the Phoenix Fire Training Center. He was also part of the Central Arizona Wildland Response Team.

Eno suddenly ended his career this past Tuesday.

This, after the Maricopa County Attorney's Office filed three felony counts of unlawful distribution of images against him.

The law he's accused of breaking is the state's new "Revenge Porn Law" and he now faces the possibility of time in prison.

A Phoenix Police report reveals he's accused of sending harassing emails to his ex and her current boyfriend using his "phoenix.gov" work email address.

The report also says Eno sent topless photos of his ex, including a sexually explicit photo of Eno with the ex-girlfriend to her new boyfriend.

Phoenix Police had been investigating the case for nearly seven months before Eno was officially charged.

A statement from the Phoenix Fire Department says it was aware of the investigation. Eno was placed on paid administrative leave and while on leave, he retired.

According to public records, the former fire captain could receive a monthly retirement benefit of nearly $9,000.

Eno will make his initial court appearance on the free felony charges on October 16.

The Revenge Porn Law is considered a class five felony, which carries a maximum sentence of two and a half years in prison, if convicted.

One top of that, the victim could also file a civil lawsuit against Eno.
