23-year-old killed in crash on Baseline Road off Loop 101 in Tempe
TEMPE, Ariz. - A multi-car crash caused a road closure west of Loop 101 in Tempe on Thursday.
On Friday, officials confirmed that a 23-year-old, Kaleb Ballinger died from injuries sustained in the collision.
Police added that impairment is believed to be a factor but have not made any arrests in the incident.
An investigation is underway, but Ballinger is believed to be the driver at fault.
At least five cars were involved in a crash at Country Club Way and Baseline Road.
Cars exiting Loop 101 at Baseline Road could only head westbound because of the road closure.
