Get ready for warmer days to return to the Valley!
PHOENIX - National Weather Service officials in Phoenix say high temperatures in the Valley continued to run above average for Dec. 16.
Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Deer Valley and Goodyear all saw a high of 71°F, while Casa Grande and Gila Bend saw 70°F.
By mid-week, temperatures will start to climb, thanks to a strong upper level ridge over the western U.S.
Temperatures will be in record-warm territory from Wednesday through Saturday. Highs will be in the upper 70s and low 80s in the Metro Valley.
Some relief may arrive at the end of next weekend, dropping temperatures a bit closer to normal.
