Man hit, killed by car while crossing street in Phoenix

A man is dead after he was hit by a car while crossing the street in Phoenix near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road. Police say the man was found by officers with severe injuries and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver stayed at the scene after the crash and there were no signs of impairment.
