Family of 5 displaced following fire near 16th Street and Thomas

A family of five is out of their home after an early-morning fire on Oct. 14. The Phoenix Fire Department says the fire broke out at an apartment connected to an ice cream shop near 16th Street and Thomas Road. Officials say the fire started in the kitchen and spread to the rest of the apartment. No one was injured.
