DPS trooper killed, another injured in shooting on I-10

AVONDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - An Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper has died and another is injured following a shooting on Interstate 10 in the west Valley. According to DPS, two troopers were shot by a suspect during a struggle near I-10 and Dysart. DPS says the suspect was throwing things at vehicles on I-10 when the troopers approached him. The suspect and troopers became involved in a struggle and both troopers were shot.
