Phoenix, Maricopa County fire bans in effect

The ban applies mostly to the desert parks and preserve areas. Open wood and charcoal fires are prohibited. Propane or gas grills can be used in picnic areas. Smoking outside enclosed vehicles, and using fireworks in these areas are already prohibited year-round.
