University of Arizona quietly returns to 'U of A' branding

You might remember in 2019 that the University of Arizona was mocked for rebranding as “UArizona." Well, now the university says it's back to using “U of A," and ASU students aren't staying quiet about the change. FOX 10's Steve Nielsen has more.

Arizona mountain lion released back into the wild

A new video shows an Arizona mountain lion being released back into the wild. Wildlife officers captured the big cat on July 12 after it wandered onto the campus of the Tucson Medical Center. They tranquilized the mountain lion and put a GPS radio collar around its neck. It was released back into the wild on July 13 away from the Tucson area.

Arizona schools get active shooter training

As most districts in southern Arizona go back to school in a few weeks. The Pima County Sheriff's Department held an active school shooter preparedness workshop at a local high school. All the video you are about to see is part of a training exercise.

AZ child dead after being found in car, PD says

A child died after being found unresponsive inside a car in southern Arizona on Tuesday, police said. The child was found inside the car around 4 p.m. on July 9 near the Paseo Rancho Acero area in Marana, the police department said.

K-9 Daemen goes missing in Pima County

Update: He's been found and returned with his unit. A K-9 has gone missing in Pima County overnight. Daemen is a yellow Labrador who disappeared near Houghton and Drexel roads in Tucson at about midnight. Pima County Sheriff's deputies are putting out the word in hopes of finding the missing K-9. PCSO is asking anyone who sees Daemen to call 911.

Secretary Mayorkas talks border enforcement in Tucson

Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas visited Arizona on Wednesday to discuss border enforcement efforts. He also denied recent reports that 400 people with ties to ISIS entered the U.S.
