Fall in full swing at Scottsdale's MacDonald's Ranch

Forget what the weather might suggest, fall is in full swing across the Valley, and that includes up at MacDonald's Ranch in north Scottsdale. FOX 10's Danielle Miller takes us to the farm to show us what's new this year.

Rio Verde: Water to start flowing again

After a months-long crisis, water will flow in the Rio Verde Foothills community starting on Oct. 9. It's part of a new law signed in June by Governor Katie Hobbs, as well as numerous agreements and measures that formed off the bill. Under the plan, the City of Scottsdale will treat the water acquired by Rio Verde, in a temporary solution. A long-term proposal is currently being reviewed by the Arizona Corporation Commission.

Phoenix area residents dealing with smell from landfill fire smoke

As crews continue to monitor a landfill fire involving what officials with the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community say are 'green waste,' residents in parts of Scottsdale say they can smell the fire in the air. 'It smelled like living next to the burn pits,' said an Iraq War veteran.

Inside Phoenix area resort's recent remodeling

There are a number of resorts in the Phoenix area with a degree of fame attached to it. One of those resorts has even hosted several U.S. Presidents in the past, and that resort has recently underwent renovations. FOX 10's Irene Snyder has more on the work done on the Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia.

Our top crime stories for the week of Sept. 16: A Gilbert woman was arrested in Yavapai County for reportedly shooting her estranged 80-year-old husband during a domestic dispute; a shooting in a Chandler neighborhood left two people with serious injuries; a man died at the hospital after being shot multiple times in north Phoenix; a woman who has been arrested 35 times is back in police custody following a violent confrontation at a Phoenix gas station; and a homeless man is accused of stealing a watch worth nearly $300,000 from a high-end jewelry store in Old Town Scottsdale.
