How license plate readers are helping catch criminals

A 20-year-old man remains behind bars as detectives say he killed a gas station employee by shooting her at least 10 times. Glendale police say a license plate reader helped track him down. FOX 10’s Lauren Clark got a behind-the-scenes look at this technology.

Driver crashes into Glendale canal

The incident happened near 43rd and Peoria Avenues. When first responders got to the scene, the driver was sitting on top of the car. The driver was rescued from the water and taken into custody.

Plane in Glendale makes emergency landing

A small plane made an emergency landing in Glendale on April 18. It happened on Glen Harbor Boulevard, just north of the Glendale Airport. Video shows the plane being towed away. Glendale Fire says no one was hurt. It's still unclear why the pilot needed to make an emergency landing.

Man ejected from truck during rollover crash in Glendale

Glendale Police say a truck was heading westbound on Bethany Home Road when the driver lost control and drove into Heroes Regional Park. The truck then rolled several times and the driver was thrown from the vehicle. The driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Bethany Home Road was shut down between 79th and 83rd Avenues due to the investigation.
