Thirty people were injured after a driver crashed into Apache Junction's Elks Lodge on the evening of Sept. 7. Two days later, the Apache Junction Police Department released footage from inside the building that captured the moment the truck barreled through.

Peoria man pleads guilty in deadly wrong-way crash

Authorities say Adam Parker was driving the wrong way near Apache Junction when he hit an SUV that was driven by 28-year-old Elizabeth McAloon, who died rom her injuries. McAloon's 7-year-old daughter was hurt in the crash. Parker pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and aggravated assault. He's scheduled to be sentenced in September.

Apache Junction students head back to school

Thousands of Valley students woke up Wednesday morning to the reality that their summer is over and it's time to return to school. Apache Junction is one of several districts back in class, and students returned to some big changes. FOX 10's Irene Snyder has more.

Gold nugget stolen during Ghost Fire evacuations

Apache Junction house burns; residents unaccounted for

The status of two residents inside an Apache Junction home that went up in flames Saturday night is still unknown. There is very limited information surrounding this fire, but neighbors say an elderly couple lived in the home. FOX 10's Kenzie Beach has more.

Illegal camping: BLM to clear area in East Valley

The Bureau of Land Management will close 1,000 acres along the northern border of Mesa and Apache Junction in order to build a recreation area for hikers, bikers and horseback riders. Due to the project, all campsites will be closed, ending a 14-day camping rule. Property owners in the area have complained that homeless people often overstay their welcome and leave behind drug paraphernalia, trash and abandoned RVs.
