$100K reward offered in deadly Alabama mass shooting

Officials in Birmingham are offering a $100,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest in a mass shooting that left four people dead and 17 wounded. Police believe one of the victims was a targeted hit. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

On Aug. 17, an intense thunderstorm swept through northern Alabama, causing disruption at a Hillsboro community event. Unprepared for the sudden weather change, people scurried to find refuge. Captured on cell phone video, the scene shows families hastily seeking shelter as a hefty inflatable bouncy slide is lifted from its position, soaring from right to left over the venue.

Alabama man pleads guilty to AZ election threat

Brian Ogstad, 59, pleaded guilty to threatening to kill Maricopa County election workers and officials. Authorities say Ogstad sent messages on the day of the 2022 election and for several days after. Ogstad pleaded guilty to one count of making a threatening interstate communication. He's scheduled to be sentenced in October.

Cleanup underway after Alabama tornadoes

Alabama residents are getting a look at the damage from tornadoes overnight. Tornado warnings were issued twice on Tuesday in Chilton County. State troopers report several damaged homes, including downed trees and power outages.
