Ride-along with field officers helping animals in the heat

The triple digits and excessive heat are tough on us, and they're brutal on the animals that live on the street. Maricopa County Animal Care and Control field officers are tasked with finding and rescuing those animals. Ultimately saving their lives. FOX 10's Anita Roman rode along for a look at what's an extremely challenging job, especially in this weather.

Arizona trooper helps rescue kittens trapped in car

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a driver heard meows in her car during the morning commute in Phoenix. She pulled over to investigate and found two kittens stowed away in the engine compartment. A trooper helped remove a tire and safely retrieve the kittens. The driver ended up taking the kittens home with her.

Phoenix Fire locates missing search dog

Moxie, a member of FEMA's Arizona Search Dog team, was last seen at around 7:30 p.m. in a neighborhood near 178th Avenue and Sherman Street.
