Over 500K fentanyl pills seized in Arizona

Over half a million fentanyl pills are off the streets after officials made a large drug bust. Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced the drug seizure, saying it happened during an investigation between Tempe Police and the Phoenix DEA. Special agents confiscated 525,000 fentanyl pills and more than $66,000.

Fentanyl seized during Eloy traffic stop: DPS

Troopers seized more than 200 pounds of fentanyl during a traffic stop along Interstate 10 in Eloy, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said. DPS says the drugs were hidden inside duffel bags in a truck, which was headed for Phoenix.

Fentanyl seizures reach record numbers in U.S.

The DEA says it seized more fentanyl across the U.S. last year than ever before, and in Arizona, over 380 pounds of fentanyl powder was recovered, and more than 40 million fentanyl pills. That accounts for over half of all fentanyl pill seizures nationwide. The DEA says the drugs are finding their way into Arizona primarily through the Sinaloa Cartel.

AZ father, son arrested on weapons and drug charges

Authorities say 68-year-old Michael Grossman Sr. and 29-year-old Michael Grossman Jr. were arrested at the Prescott Country Club after deputies served a search warrant at their home and found nearly 20 firearms and 85 fentanyl pills.

Judge delays sentencing for man charged Arizona teen's fentanyl death

Michael Fox was charged with distributing fentanyl-laced pills to a 16-year-old named Hannah Elizabeth Pairrett, who died after using the pills. According to court records, Hannah used her boyfriend's phone to ask Fox for Percocet in June 2019. She got three pills delivered, took one, and fell unconscious about an hour later.
