Waco police are investigating a sexual assault allegation against a Baylor football player.
The athlete has not yet been named by officials because he has not been arrested.
The woman said she was assaulted early Sunday morning, according to the Waco Tribune-Herald. Police searched the man's apartment near campus the same day after she went to the hospital and got a sex assault exam.
Among the items taken from the player's apartment included bedding from his room.
The private, Southern Baptist school has promised to fully cooperate with any investigation. Baylor has come under fire after complaints that previous allegations against other athletes were ignored.
Earlier this week a lawsuit was filed by a sex assault victim against the school for its inaction when football player Sam Ukwuachu sexually assaulted her in 2013.
