PHOENIX - Police have arrested a man in the murder of his girlfriend who was found shot to death in Phoenix.
According to Phoenix Police, officers responded to a shooting call at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 near 27th Avenue and Ocotillo Road and found 20-year-old Taliyah Kizzee, who had been shot.
Kizzee was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say Kizzee's boyfriend, 22-year-old Montel Alexander, was identified as a person of interest in the murder.
On Nov. 17, police say Alexander was arrested and booked into jail for several alleged offenses, including kidnappings and gang threats made towards Kizzee's family.
While Alexander was still jailed, he was taken to police headquarters on Nov. 29 to be interviewed about his girlfriend's murder. Alexander was subsequently arrested for Kizzee's murder.
