Woman hospitalized following shooting in the northwest Valley: Surprise PD

Surprise Police officials say they are investigating a shooting that left a woman wounded.

What we know:

According to Surprise Police officials, multiple 911 calls were made about a shooting in the area of Bell and Dysart at around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 9. Officers were then sent to the scene.

Per a statement, the victim was given life-saving measures when officers arrived, and she was taken to the hospital.

What they're saying:

"As this investigation is still in its early stages, we currently do not have any information regarding the suspect(s). Investigators are on their way and will be in the area for several hours to learn the circumstances surrounding the shooting," Surprise Police officials wrote, in a statement.
