They are very old, rare and up for grabs. EJ's auction house in Glendale has a vintage tin collection that might be worth checking out.

If there was a container for it, chances are Edward Voss and his wife probably collected it. Over 1,000 of their pieces are up for auction this weekend.

"For me, it was the peanut butter right there, the Halligan's," said EJ's Auction House Director of Operations Jimmy Garcia. "Look at the size of that peanut butter jar. That's a lot of peanut butter. You really have to love peanut butter."

Garcia says from the most extreme to most rare, it's all here.

"Another piece is the John Mullin that is going to be very sought after as well," said Garcia.

Many of these pieces date back into the early 50s.

"The labels are still there. It's nostalgic," said Doug McKee. "I'm sure there's someone who collects food containers."

"Edward Voss was a passionate collector of tins. He and his wife Leona owned a restaurant and grocery store, which kind of gave into the whole collection," said Garcia. "Mr. Voss, he unfortunately passed away, so his wife wants to make more room."

Bidding starts at 10:00 a.m. Saturday.
