GLENDALE, Ariz. - An investigation is underway after a man died after being shot near the intersection of 59th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.
According to police, the shooting happened just after 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 19. The victim, 44-year-old Michael Harris, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses told officers that two people were seen running from the scene, which led police to set up a perimeter around the area.

Police search for suspects in deadly shooting
Police are searching for suspect in connection to a shooting near a Glendale intersection that left 44-year-old Michael Harris dead.
"Thunderbird Hospital was near the area and requested to be placed on lockdown," stated Sgt. Randy Stewart.
Two men were detained, but their connection to the shooting isn't clear at this time.
"Glendale Police Department Homicide Detectives are investigating and believe there are additional witnesses to this offense who have not come forward," police said. "We are asking for the public's help in identifying anyone involved."
