Suspect still at large after shooting in Scottsdale nightclub injures 1
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police in Scottsdale are looking for a suspect, in connection with a shooting at a club over the weekend.
According to a statement released on Monday by Scottsdale Police, two men reportedly had an altercation inside the Maya Day and Night Club, located on the 7300 block of E. Indian Plaza, at approximately 1:40 a.m. Sunday. At some point during the altercation, one of the men fired off a round with a handgun, striking the other man.
The suspect, according to the statement, fled the scene during a mass exodus that followed. The victim was reportedly taken to an area hospital, with non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The suspect is described by Scottsdale Police as a black male, 6' 2" to 6' 3" tall, with a medium build. Scottsdale Police officials said the man sported what is reported as medium length dreadlocks, and was believed to be wearing a red shirt and white pants, at the time of the incident.
