Teen suspect sought in deadly Apache Junction shooting of his half-brother, police say

"We don’t want him to do something stupid because of everything going through his head which is why we want to stress, his mom and family want him to be safe and turn himself in," said Apache Junction Police Lt. Tom Parker.

Detectives believe the two got into an argument before the shooting.

"From our understanding, he was born and raised in the area, so he could have friends anywhere. We do believe he is still in the area," Parker said.

As police search for the then, they say his mother has a plea for him.

"Your mom loves you and wants to make sure you’re safe. She’s asking you to go turn yourself in to the nearest police department or Apache Junction Police Department. Again, your family wants you to be safe," Parker said.
