Surprise PD says man's shooting death was not a random act of violence
SURPRISE, Ariz. - A woman called Surprise Police Thursday morning saying her husband was shot and needed help immediately, the department said.
At around 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a home in the area of Dysart and Waddell roads and there they found a man who had been shot. He was given medical treatment, however, he died at the home.
"At this time all involved parties have been accounted for and they are cooperating with detectives as we work to determine the facts of what happened. Based on what we know so far, this was not a random act of violence, and there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time," said Sgt Tommy Hale.
