Stolen food truck found and 1 man arrested after owners alert police
The Mary-Lee Kitchens food truck was stolen on Friday, Dec. 27 near 99th Avenue and Peoria.
It was returned to its rightful owners on Saturday, Dec. 28.
The 23-footer was spotted by a witness parked in a driveway along McDowell Road. That person called the owners, Lee Scardinia and Mary Lopez, who called police.
One person, identified only as an adult man, was taken into custody and is now facing charges.
The owners say the truck is worth $30,000 and sustained nearly $10,000 worth of damage.
They add that the trailer was posted for sale for just $3,000.
