Officials said there were apparently two cars stopped at the intersection of southbound SR 347 at Riggs Road when a third car struck both stopped vehicles.
According to DPS officials, the 67-year-old was driving the car that struck the two other stopped vehicles.
The 67-year-old, according to DPS officials, was not wearing a seat belt at the time, and suffered major head trauma. A third driver, according to officials, was treated for neck pain.
