What were you listening to at this time last year? Spotify has made its musical time capsule available for those who participated.

The feature, called Playlist in a Bottle, gives listeners a chance "to capture the songs that resonated with them at that moment in time and seal them away for one year," the platform says.

The in-app feature was unlocked this week, allowing users to reflect on their favorite music at the time and see how their tastes may have evolved over the past 365 days.

How to see your Spotify ‘Playlist in a Bottle'

  • For those who participated in January 2024, visit spotify.com/playlistinabottle on a mobile device.
  • Select "Claim Your Playlist" to see which songs were sealed in the musical time capsule.
  • Users can save and listen to their complete 2024 Playlist in a Bottle until Jan. 31, 2025, according to Spotify.

The feature is available in the U.S., as well as dozens of other countries around the world.

Spotify's top songs and artists of 2024

Spotify's other popular feature released annually, called Spotify Wrapped, was made available to listeners in early December. The streaming stats tell listeners what songs and artists they listened to the most in 2024, among other fun features.

The streaming giant also shared its own 2024 stats, and it may be no surprise that Taylor Swift topped a lot of the charts.

Swift was the most-streamed artist in the U.S., and globally. Her album, "The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology," was also the top album in the U.S. in 2024 ("1989 (Taylor’s Version)" also came in at number 10 in the U.S.).

A different pop star, though, took home the win for the top song in the U.S. for 2024: Sabrina Carpenter’s "Espresso."

Spotify said "Die With A Smile" by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga took the top spot as the song most frequently shared from Spotify to social platforms.
