Fire restrictions in effect in Coronado National Forest

The Coronado National Forest headquartered in Tucson is implementing fire restrictions that take effect Friday.

Several recreation sites in the Coronado National Forest in southern Arizona have reopened.

Campfire, smoking and recreational shooting restrictions to prevent human-caused forest fires are in place as they reopened on May 21.

Forest officials say campgrounds in the Douglas, Sierra Vista, Safford and Santa Catalina ranger districts have reopened as well.
