PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) -- The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says a search is underway for a 24-year-old man reported missing at Lake Pleasant.
Sheriff's Detective Doug Matteson says Glendale-area resident Chintan Shan was swimming and floating with several other men in the area of Fireman's Cove when they lost track of him Sunday.
Matteson say sheriff's personnel are using sonar and boats to look for Shan, whose vehicle was found still parked at the lake location where he left it.
According to Matteson, Shan could swim and authorities don't believe alcohol was a factor.
He is described as of 5-foot-9, 155 pounds and brown hair and brown eyes.
