Scottsdale Fire: Man seriously hurt after he was run over by golf cart at Phoenix Open

Scottsdale Fire officials said a man was taken to a hospital in serious condition, after he was ran over by a golf cart at the Waste Management Phoenix Open Tuesday.

According to a brief statement issued by David Folio with Scottsdale Fire, crews responded to the driving range at the open, where a man was reportedly dragged by a gold cart for more than 30 feet.

The patient, according to Scottsdale Fire officials, was treated for injuries to his abdomen and back, and was taken to Scottsdale Honor Healthcare Trauma Center.

Scottsdale Fire officials noted, in its statement, that the man was taken off the driving range in a medical golf cart.
