TAMPA, Fla. - A tiny, white, three-week-old kitten is being nursed back to health at the SPCA Suncoast after rescuers said it was seen being tossed from a car.
The kitten, nicknamed "April," is being treated for road rash and severe pneumonia. She is also anemic because of a flea infestation, dehydrated, malnourished, has an upper respiratory infection and a corneal ulcer in her left eye.
Rescuers say a driver stopped to grab the kitten after seeing it being thrown from a car, but the bystander wasn't able to get any of the driver's information.
April is being kept on a heating blanket as she is being treated with antibiotics and vitamins.
You can keep up with her progress on the SPCA Suncoast Facebook page.
