Authorities said late Wednesday afternoon that remains have been found in a water- and debris-filled canyon in Central Arizona.

The remains, according to officials, are believed to be those of the final victim of last weekend's flash flooding.

Gila County Sheriff's officials said, at a news conference, that identification of the body will be subject to DNA analysis by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Since July 15's flash flooding that killed nine people, crews have been searching for Hector Garnica, 27. The flash flood reportedly killed Garnica's wife, three small children, and other members of the extended family.
