Rachel Henry: Phoenix woman pleads guilty to suffocating children with pillows
PHOENIX - Rachel Henry, a Phoenix woman accused of killing her three children, has changed her plea in court.
According to court records, Henry changed her plea in three counts of 1st Degree Murder to "guilty" on Dec. 12. The change of plea reportedly came about as part of a plea agreement.
The case happened in January 2020 at a home near 24th Street and Southern Avenue. Phoenix Police said at the time that officers were sent to the home after a woman called to report three kids who were found dead inside.
Police also said at the time that during an interview, Henry admitted to smothering each of the victims, and that Henry placed all three victims on a couch as if they were taking a nap. The victims have been identified as 3-year-old Zane Henry, 23-month-old Miraya Henry and 7-month-old Catalaya Rios.
Henry originally pleaded not guilty on the charges in February 2020.
