Police: Woman arrested in connection to deadly motorcycle crash
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police have arrested a woman in connection to a deadly motorcycle crash last August.
Scottsdale police say 46-year-old Tracy Shelden Morehouse was arrested on Tuesday night and charged with second-degree murder in connection to the death of 45-year-old Greg Dolphin on August 13.
Police say Morehouse struck Dolphin while he was on his motorcycle and stopped at a red light on southbound Scottsdale Road at Princess Drive.
Prior to hitting Dolphin, investigators say Morehouse hit an SUV while driving the wrong way at Scottsdale Road and Chauncey Lane. Morehouse failed to stay at the scene after the collision and fled the scene south on Scottsdale Road at a high rate of speed.
Police say Morehouse exceeded speeds of more than 100 mph along Scottsdale Road before hitting and killing Dolphin.
Morehouse's blood-alcohol concentration was .355 at the time of the crash, according to police. She has been booked into jail on a charge of second-degree murder.
