Police: Man accused of threatening Pulse-style attack

The man accused of threatening to carry out a Pulse-style attack in South Florida over the Labor Day weekend is scheduled to appear in federal court in downtown Orlando on Tuesday.

Craig Jungwirth, 50, has been charged with making online threats to the LGBTQ community in Wilton Manors.
According an arrest warrant filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida,

Jungwirth, an event planner who once lived in Wilton Manors, wrote on Facebook on August 30, "My events are selling out cause you (expletive) are total patsies... If you losers thought the Pulse nightclub shooting was bad wait til you see what I'm planning for Labor Day."

Two more threatening posts allegedly followed.

In June, a gunman opened fire in the Pulse nightclub in Orlando killing 49 people and injuring dozens more.
According to the FBI there had previously been numerous reports of harassment and stalking by Jungwirth of Wilton Manor residents and one person who reported Jungwirth's posts had recently taken out a restraining order against him.

The arrest warrant says agents found Jungwirth walking along Citrus Chase Drive in the Dr. Phillips area on August 31.

The warrant states, "He denied posting those threats, before investigators even had the opportunity to show him the purported threats."

The FBI believes Jungworth had been living with his mother on Citrus Chase Drive.

Investigators say they linked the threatening Facebook posts to the IP address associated with that home.
Jungwirth was arrested Saturday for violating bond conditions in an unrelated pending misdemeanor case.
