Police chase in Maricopa County leads to 3 arrests, K-9 deployed and multiple crime scenes

A wild police pursuit took Maricopa County Sheriff's Deputies through multiple parts of the Valley and left three adults - one woman and two men - taken into custody.

The incident began near Calle Cerritos and Avenida Del Yaqui when a Sheriff's Deputy noticed a vehicle traveling down the road the wrong way at a high rate of speed.

The driver failed to yield to a traffic stop and the pursuit was on.

According to a police report, a passenger in the back seat of the vehicle pointed a weapon at the Deputy as the car weaved in and out of the streets of Guadalupe before stopping to let a passenger out of the vehicle.

Then, the vehicle continued before stopping again on Calle Carlos.

Several MCSO patrol vehicles and a Tempe K-9 unit were struck by the car when it started to drive off again, but could not get away.

Two more passengers exited the vehicle and were taken into custody.

The driver was reluctant to comply and an MCSO K-9 was deployed on the driver.

All three of the occupants were taken into custody and the driver was hospitalized.
