Police: 2 bodies found in South Phoenix park
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Phoenix Police officials said Wednesday the deaths of two people whose bodies were found at a city park near 19th and Southern Avenues are being investigated as homicides.
The incident reportedly happened at El Prado Park. According to Phoenix Police Sergeant Alan Pfohl, the man and woman found dead Wednesday morning had signs of trauma and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined both victims had been shot.
The victims have been identified as 28-year-old Gregory Hairston and 23-year-old Clomie Mayberry.
Pfohl says a passer-by found the bodies on the ground near a baseball field's bleachers and that the passer-by contacted a parks worker who called police.
