Pedestrian dies after being struck by driver near Greenway and Cave Creek Roads

PHOENIX - A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a driver in Phoenix, police say on Saturday, Feb. 20.

The deadly crash happened around 8:20 p.m. near Greenway and Cave Creek roads. Witnesses told police that the victim was crossing the street in the middle of the block on Greenway when a car driving east crashed into him.

The victim was identified as 31-year-old Ethan Peed.

Police say the victim has been pronounced deceased and the driver remained on scene.

Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
