PD: Shooting leaves 1 dead, 1 seriously injured near 7th Ave. and Broadway

PHOENIX (FOX 10) - Phoenix Police say a shooting incident left one man dead and another seriously injured.

Officers responded to the area of 7th Ave. and Broadway Rd. around 7:05 p.m.. Saturday for a shooting call. Witnesses and evidence were located but no shooting victims.

Police were able to locate two men with gunshot injuries a short time later near 7th Ave. and Buckeye Rd. The fire department transported to victims to a hospital.

Police say Brian Ruiz, 21, died at the hospital, and a 19-year-old man remains in serious condition.

Investigators say the suspect fired multiple shots from a vehicle at a group of people standing in front of a residence and then fled the scene. The suspect is outstanding.
