PHOENIX (AP) -- Dozens of law enforcement agencies have rounded up over 200 fugitives in southern and central Arizona during a roundup conducted last week.
The U.S. Marshals Service says 29 federal, state and local law enforcement agencies arrested 203 fugitives out of over 1,000 wanted for felonies such as murder, armed robbery, rape and drug crimes.
The roundup was called "Operation Justice 2016" and conducted Tuesday through Friday.
U.S. Marshal David P. Gonzales says a major focus of the effort was to go after violent career criminals and gang members.
