PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- It's almost the weekend, which means it's time for FOX 10's Stephanie Olmo to show us what's going on.
This weekend, Ballet Arizona is kicking off their new season, and people can catch a performance under the stars, for free!
"Ballet Under The Stars have been going on for the past 21 years. It's kind of risen up with us as we've grown as a company," said Alexandra Papazian, the Eduction and Community Engagement Manager.
Dancers from Ballet Arizona will be leaping in parks across the Valley through Saturday.
"You can bring a picnic, you can bring snacks, a blanket, chairs, set up on the lawn on your favorite spot, and just have a little party," Papazian said.
A party under the stars, and a unique experience for friends and family.
"We really give people an opportunity to experience our art form, without all the traditional barriers of getting dressed up and going to the theater, of having to pay for a ticket," Papazian said. "It really makes it accessible for everyone."
All performances will start at 7:00 p.m., and the group will be at Fountain Park in Fountain hills on Thursday, Estrella Lakeside Amphitheater in Goodyear on Friday, and Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix on Saturday.
"We try to make a little sampling out of all the different dance that we do," Papazian said. "We try to hit a little of classical ballet, a little bit of contemporary ballet, and a little bit of balanchine."
"It's our pride and joy. We are the only ballet company in Arizona who is allowed to perform this presigeous work, because of our technical ability," Papazian.
