Nurse, friend of patient marry at Phoenix hospital

A nurse and a supportive friend of his former patient married on Tuesday morning at the hospital where they met.

Kristofer Gordon, a nurse at St. Luke's Medical Center, was working with a patient a few years ago when he met the patient's supportive friend, Michelle Duell.

Spark flew immediately and the instant connection eventually developed into a relationship.

The couple said "I do" at 6:30 a.m. at the hospital right after sunrise.

The ceremony was held on the surgery floor of St. Luke's where their love connection began.

A friend of the groom, who also works on the surgery floor, is an ordained minister and led the ceremony.
