PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- Today's college students are different from 20 years ago.
According to a recent study, close to 74% of college students are considered "non-traditional", and these students are becoming typical in today's world, meaning students are financially independent, have a child, or even attend school part-time.
According to figures, 1 in 5 students surveyed are at least 30 years old, while 1 in 4 takes care of a child. 47% of students surveyed are part-time students, while 25% took a break after high school. Meanwhile, 2 of 5 students surveyed attended community college, and about half are financially independent.
