PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police have identified a motorcyclist who died after colliding with a car at North 7th Street and Mountain View Road.
At 5 p.m. on Saturday, Phoenix Police responded to a collision involving a car and motorcycle resulting in serious injury.
The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital in extremely critical condition, but has now been pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Brett Johnson.
Police say a full-sized pickup truck was heading north on 7th Street and was hit on the driver's side by a motorcycle that was driven by Johnson. Johnson was wearing a helmet and was rushed to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Impairment is not suspected of being a factor in the accident.
