More than 80 Phoenix firefighters battle 2nd alarm fire

More than eighty Phoenix firefighters battled a second alarm fire at an apartment complex near 7th Street and Grovers. At least five people were injured in the fire.

Phoenix Fire crews responded to the burning apartment complex at about 3:30am on Saturday. They found flames through half the second floor of the building. Four units were destroyed on the second floor, and four others have water damage.

At least five people were taken to the hospital, including an 18-year-old young woman, two 20-year-old men, and a man and woman, both 21 years old. An 85-year-old woman was also treated on-scene. Ten to fifteen people are expected to be displaced after the fire.
