PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - A Delaware child's actions during a school lockdown are going viral on social media.
The notification came around 11 a.m. last Thursday. A bomb threat had the charter school attended by Jeff and Shelley Reed's children,10-year-old Sean and 7-year-old Vanessa, on lockdown.
It was over in about 30 minutes when a mass email from Odyssey Charter School gave the all clear.
During the lockdown, Vanessa took desperate measures to make sure her parents knew she loved them, should something have happened to her.
Shelley shared a photo showing writing on her daughter Vanessa's arm on Facebook. The message reads, "Love Mom and Dad."
Shelley says she asked her daughter why she wrote the message, to which she replied, "In case the bad guy got to us and I got killed, you and daddy would know I love you."
Vanessa's answer brought both of them to tears. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the lockdown.
Shelley's post has been shared nearly 100,000 times on Facebook.
