Falcon Field neighbors concerned after 3 plane crashes
Three plane crashes in the area surrounding Falcon Field in Mesa has residents concerned about the increased volume of flights and their safety. FOX 10's Brian Webb has the story.
MESA, Ariz. - The FAA is investigating a small plane crash in Mesa.
It happened Dec. 19 in the afternoon on a flight out of Falcon Field.
Both the pilot and passenger are OK but it’s the latest in a string of accidents connected to the airport.

The crash happened at an orange grove near Mesa's Falcon Field, according to fire officials.
I did a similar story a few years back.
Residents were worried about plane crashes and flyovers right above their homes.
The volume of air traffic in general was a concern and since then it’s been more of the same.
The latest incident happened on Thursday afternoon on Dec. 19.

The pilot and passenger both walked away after the pilot reported engine trouble, according to the FAA.
The plane did not have enough altitude to return to the airport.
Plus, there have been at least three plane crashes originating from Falcon Field over the past year.

The National Transportation Security Board released their preliminary report on a devastating plane crash that left five people dead near Mesa's Falcon Field Airport.
Five people were killed last month when a plane crashed into a car that was driving by the airport.
No mechanical issues were found. Back in February, an experimental aircraft crashed because of a fuel leak.
The pilot and passenger were okay.

Mesa Fire and Medical says two people were on board the plane, but they were not hurt.
All these issues are being noticed around the neighborhood.
"My offices were down on McDowell and Greenfield and that pilot and his trainee were killed almost in the same spot. Four or five people got killed here about a month or so," said a man named Tom who used to live nearby.
"It should be investigated. I am a little concerned, but God‘s gonna take care. I don’t know what to tell you," said another neighbor, Sandy.
The plane from the Dec. 19 crash is registered to a Jacob Peters of Tempe.
We knocked on his door today but got no answer.
