Menudo: a possible hangover cure
PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- Menudo is a spicy Mexican soup often made with tripe or cow stomach is supposed to cure even your deadliest hangovers. It's said to rejuvenate the insides, stimulate the senses and clear the head.
"We truly believe it is because of all the savory ingredients that it carries," said Susy Ferra with Food City.
The grocery store sells menudo all year round, but sales especially increase around the holidays.
Menudo is eaten with bread and is often chilled and reheated, which results in a more complex flavor.
