Mega Millions jackpot up to $681 million after no big winner

The Mega Millions jackpot will rise to an estimated $681 million after no tickets hit the jackpot during Friday night's drawing.

The winning numbers drawn on Friday were 10, 17, 20, 24 and 54 with a Mega ball of 8. The Megaplier was 4X.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be held on Tuesday. If you win the $681 million grand prize, you have a cash option of $336.1 million, the seventh-largest prize in Mega Millions history.

Most winners pick the cash prize over the annuity option, which is one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments.

According to Mega Millions, the odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 302.6 million.

The jackpot was last won on June 4, when a player in Illinois matched all six numbers to take home the $552 million prize.

A record $1.6 billion Mega Millions jackpot was won in Florida on Aug. 8, 2023.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states as well as Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The deadline for purchasing a ticket is 9:45 p.m. on the night of the Tuesday and Friday draws.
