Man killed, woman injured after 'dozens of shots' fired in Phoenix neighborhood

Phoenix police are investigating after a man and woman were shot near 29th Avenue and Camelback early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to the area on a shooting call and saw multiple people running from a "party house" in the neighborhood.

Investigators learned that two gunshot victims were being treated at two different hospitals in the Valley, and that they were potentially connected to the shooting investigation.

One of the victims, 19-year-old Jarod Tyler, died from his injuries at the hospital. The other victim was a 24-year-old woman who is expected to survive.

Police say that dozens of shots had reportedly been fired "along a large area of the neighborhood."

No arrests have been made.
